Since the last version Norton 8.5.7 I have not had no Kernel Panics and all seems to be good! Other then Norton Generates a Crash Report in the System Console. Everything thing works OK but Norton generates this report and there is no Kernel Panic and this has been happening as far as I can remember! I have Macos 10.15.5 and Norton 8.5.8 installed I have a copy of the Crash Report saved as a PDF and is included any help is appreciated!
I will add my voice to retspoon’s post regarding Norton generating crash reports.
Over the past year I have experienced the same kernel panics and crashes that are noted in various other posts. The kernel panics that crashed my computer have stopped since 8.5.7 but the process SymDaemon is still generating crashes in the background, they just don’t result in the computer going down. This has been going on for at least six months. The crash reports I have are similar, although not identical, to the one retspoon posted.
I’d be curious to hear from other people if they are experiencing this. Just go to Utilities and launch Console. Check under Crash Reports.
I’ve posted a screen shot that shows the number of background crashes I’ve experienced over the past week.
