Norton Ghost 10.0 "trial" has run out?

I've been running Norton Ghost 10.0 for a long time on my PC running Windows XP. Recently my back ups stopped running automatically every night and I was instead getting error message about having 0 days left on my "trial" subscription. This makes no sense to me since as far as I knew, I had purchased the product and wasn't on any "trial." I've been without regular nightly back ups for almost a week now and am trying to figure out whether my only option is to plop down $50 for the upgrade to Ghost 15.0. Am I missing something here? I didn't think I owned a time-sensitive subscription.

 

And what's the deal with technical support? Does anyone know how I can talk/chat with someone live at Symantec about all of this?
