For the Ghost 9 item, try mounting the recovery points. Ghost 14 will still access images from Ghost 9 by the way. You can run a checkdisk through the recovery point browser to try and repair damage. Your situation is different then the other scenarios here.

I was wondering if there is any solution available to this problem yet? I also receive the CRC check invalid error for all the backups I produce on my home PC when I verify them; currently I have the verification on creation turned off so that Ghost actually creates the backup files, and I've found that if I mount the recovery point most of the data is valid, but some files will be corrupt, and if I try to restore the whole image it invariably fails.
I'm currently using Ghost v10.0, Windows XP SP3 and backing up to a local USB HDD. I've also tried running the LiveUpdate to ensure that this is fully up to date, but receive a message stating "LiveUpdate has determined that this machine is running a pre-released or beta version of a 2005 Symantec product." which is slightly worrying also considering I have the retail box sat next to me. I would also try upgrading to a later version, but the examples on this thread of people suffering the same problem with later versions would suggest that this won't resolve my issue?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like there's some corruption going on that is probably contributing to the CRC error. Best case recommendation is to upgrade to Ghost 14, but let me check something out for you.
