Norton Ghost 12 / Vista 64 bit Copy my Drive Issues - drive letter and keyboard / mouse control

I am new with Norton Ghost but having a slight issue.

Backgroud:

I purchased 2 new hard drives Hitachi 320gb for my HP DV9600 notebook.  I put one of the hitachi drives in bay #2.  I then brought up Vista, opened up Norton Ghost 12 and did a "copy my hard drive".  I selected OS (c:/) as my source and OS (d:/) as my destination.  I then selected set drive active for booting and copy MBR.  I did not have the ability to change the drive letter which specified D:

Issues:

upon completion, I put my newly ghosted drive into bay 1 and the 2 hitachi drive (empty) into bay 2.  I boot to the signon screen for Vista but have not mouse or keyboard so I cant do anything.  When I boot to the Ghost CD and browse the drives, the files are on the drive in bay one but it says it is D:  and my new empty drive in bay 1 says it is C:.  So really I have 2 problems.  The copy made my new copied bootable drive D and not C.  and when I do get the Vista signon screen I can do anything.

Im sure I missed something simple but I have been pulling my hair out for 4 days.

thanks - kim
