Norton Ghost 14.0 - Backing up from a RAID 0 config to non-RAID?

Hi all,

I recently did a backup of my 500gb RAID 0 config (my OS is Vista, 2 X 250GB), as the RAID manager kept telling me that one of the drives was failing. It came to around 195gb. After moving it to a USB2 drive (took forever!) I then restarted the computer and went straight into the RAID manager and deleted the RAID array, effectively formatting the 2 disks. I then booted into the Norton CD and proceeded to restore that image onto the first hard disk (which as far as I can tell, is the one that is NOT failing). After waiting for about a year for THAT to finish, I tried to boot back into Vista, only to find the boot screen kept looping. Long story short, I installed Vista as new and moved the backup file to the HDD to see if there was something wrong with it. However, I can indeed recover all my files from it. I tried to restore it again to the other hard drive, but yet again, to no avail. Is it not possible to backup from a RAID 0 config and then restore to a normal HDD? Or is there a certain prodecure I have to follow?

Thanks people!
