Norton Ghost 14 'Connecting and Retrieving Information' from the 'Backup and Recovery Service' on (local computer)

While starting Norton Ghost 14 I get a message box to wit

And while Ghost is connecting to the Backup Service I get a Windows Message to wit

Cancel Try Again Continue

This message comes with an audable sound that is the "Windows Critical Stop" sound.

So I click Try Again and get the same message and sound.

So I click Continue and get the same message and sound.

So I click Cancel and get the same message and sound.

So I click X and get the same message and sound.

So next I click Cancel in the Norton Ghost message box.

And I get Norton Ghost application screen messages to wit

Reconnect

Click this link to try and re-establish communication with the backup service on (local computer name)

Deploy Agent

Click this link to deploy Norton Ghost Agent to (local computer name)

Edit Computer List

Click this link to edit the list of computers that can be connected to and managed

So I click Reconnect and I get the same Norton Ghost message box as above. So I click Cancel.

So I click Deploy Agent

I get message box to wit

(local computer name) cannot be backed up until it is restarted.

and I enter Administrator Credentials to wit

User name: xxxxxxxxxx

Pasword: xxxxxxxxxx

and click OK and I get message box to wit

Deploy Agent X

X Cannot deploy the Agent to (local computer name)

So I click OK to exit message box.

So I click Edit Computer List

and I see

(local computer name) with Status of Ready.

Connect Close

So I click Connect and I get the same Norton Ghost message box as above. So I click Cancel.

And while this is all going on I have the Windows Message to wit
