I had Norton Ghost 14 for over a year and a half now. Recently, my external hardrive crashed and then not much later windows crashed on me, so I lost all backups and then had to reinstall windows. I run Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2, and have 4 GB ram. I purchased a new external, a seagate 1TB in order to start backing up my system again. I reinstalled Norton Ghost to the computer and when trying to run the initial backup, it has had multiple problems lately that problem has come down to locking up my computer when trying to run the backup to where nothing will allow me out.
I have tried everything I can think of from running chkdsk, reinstalling norton, shutting down all possible processes and let it try to run overnight, and when I come back to it the system is completely locked. I have tried searching the community for similar issues along with online and nothing seems to fix it. If I could get some assistance I would truly appreciate it.
