Norton Ghost 14 recovery disk leads to BSOD "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL "

I can boot my DELL XPS 630 VISTA PC neither with the recovery disk delivered nor with a customized recovery disk.

 

Any ideas?

Do a Google search for "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL "  and you’ll find a lot of good info.  It’s a hardware error and that might explain the tech’s advice to take out memory.
