Haven't tried checking that but I do a complete backup to the USB 3.0 drive in 11 minutes and using USB 2.0 it takes 58 minutes.
The drive works great for everything except booting with a recovery disk.
Let me know when you get a chance to do the transfer test. All of these devices overstate their transfer speed.
