Norton Ghost 15 Causes Win 7 Backup to fail - Shadow Copy Timed Out, Error 0x81000101

*** Problem Summary ***

This issue is 100% repeatable.

Once I have run a Norton Ghost restore point, a subsequent attempt to run Windows 7 Backup results in Win 7 Backup failing at 7% complete, with the error msg, "The Creation of a Shadow Copy has Timed Out, Error 0x81000101"

I can run Win 7 Backup successfully only if I reboot and run Win 7 Backup before I run Norton Ghost 15 and create a new Ghost restore point (since reboot).

I have tried disabling the Symantec VSS by deleting the registry key (as others have suggested); Ghost 15 ran fine without the Symantec VSS, but it did not resolve the issue with Win 7 Backup.

I am seeking suggestions as to what I might do so that I can use both Win 7 Backup and Norton Ghost 15 without having to reboot between using each of the programs (note: Ghost does not require a reboot; it is only Win 7 backup that hangs after using Ghost).
