Norton Ghost 15 - OS Upgrade?

I am currently using Norton Ghost 15 on my desktop with Windows Vista Ultimate (64bit) and am very pleased with its performance. Very soon, I'm looking to upgrade to Windows 7 on my C:// drive, and am having trouble finding information on how Ghost will handle that. My Ghost Recovery Points are on a different drive, and I have a Symantec Recovery Disk as well.

If I do a clean install of Windows 7, will I be able to recover my files/folders from the Norton Ghost 15 Drive Backup Recovery Points that I made, even though the operating system at the time was Vista Ultimate? Or will I need to recover from a specific File and Folder backup and use that to get my files back? I just don't want to do the Windows 7 installation, then Recover with Ghost 15 and end up with Vista as my operating system again.

Hopefully this is a simple question, I'm just having trouble finding the answer whilst digging through forums all over. Thanks for your time, and I look forward to your response! :)

After you install Ghost 15 in Windows 7, use Recovery Point Browser to restore your files / folders. Make sure you verify the image (Recovery Point) files (v2i and/or iv2i files) before you start.

You can also just mount the Recovery Point as a drive letter and copy files / folders using Windows Explorer.

Keep in mind you will need to install any software as Ghost cannot do that for you.

Oooh, okay. That makes sense, thanks so much!
