I would be appreciative of any advice, in the following situation
- Installed Norton Ghost 15 on Windows Vista (32 Bit) 3 weeks ago - ran perfectly
- Upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate (32Bit) last week
- All installed programs ran successfully after the upgrade apart from Ghost.
- Repair from Windows/Ghost not successful
- Windows programme un-installer was unable to remove Ghost due to missing components
- Downloaded and ran Norton removal tool x 2
- On installing Ghost the following error is received on the final stages of the installation:
Error 1935
An error occurred during the installation of assemblycomponent {63E949F6-038C-5C40-C8B89A1E18E}

Hi Deric
Thank you for the advice.
Did get working on the second attempt of re-naming Installer to Installer_old (C:\windows\system32\installer), creating a new directory Installer, installing Ghost, copying contents Installer to installer_old and renaming back. Then ran a repair on Ghost to add a couple of missing components.
Clean install of Windows next time!

Hi Gavin,
Good work, at least it gave you a clue what was happening.
