I have been trying to copy my entire computer HD preferable to an external HD or to a network server to transfer my computer to a new computer. I an using an older laptop so that is why I need an external source...
First I tried using clone my disk to an external USB HD it starts to boot up then fails after a blue screen flashes ( then I was told that with Vista and 7 you can on longer boot from a USB device only a SATA (but I don't have an external SATA port. dose anyone know a way around this or is it easier to accomplish my task using the recovery option
if this isn't possible dose anyone know anything about being able to store this onto a server running server 2003 r2
