Good Afternoon,
I am working on a few older computers for a customer that requires reimaging each computer. I have been having issues actually reimaging them. I guess some of the issue stems from me not being familier with either Norton Ghost or Symantec Backup Exec.
Both computers each came with a disc that has their respective image files on them. Here are the files listed on each disk.
Computer/Disc 1
01AW02.sv2i
01AW02_C.v2i
01Aw02_D.v2i
Computer 1 also came with a disc labeled
Symantec Backup Exec
System Recovery 7.0
Disk 1 of 2
I have completed the install of Symantic Backup Exec but do not have a key so I can not access all the features. When I try to access the .sv2 I receive an error. Is there a way to image the sv21/v2i files to a hard drive from within Windows?
The next computer is older and only has one file on it.
CDR00001.GHO
I was able to get my hands on a Norton 2003 bootable floppy set but when I boot off of the floppy and attempt to look at the disc, it does not see anything.
Any advise on how to get these images on the drives would be greatly appreciated. I am very lost and not sure where to go from here. Please feel free to ask any questions that will provide a better understanding.
Thank You.
