As what you speak i don't understand...you appear to be techie.
Please help me with my issue:
I am new to Norton Ghost.
C:\ XP Professional SP3
D:\ Vista Ultimate 32b, SP1
3 more non system partition.
Norton Ghost 14.
Everything was working fine, i was logged into Vista.
I deleted drive D:\ from Ghost console (there was a option to delete drive letter permanently), after that i am not able to find drive D:\ in Ghost Console to take a back up. I tried system restore, reinstalling ghost but that didn't helped. I want to get drive letter D:\ back so that i can take a back up. Please suggest.
No, i didn't deleted partition from computer.
I am logged into Vista (D:\)...works fine.
In Vista when i open ghost (as my 1st screen shot), all the drives are listed. I was facing some minor back up issue, so i selected drive D:\ and i the left hand side (as in screen shot) there was a option to delete partition permanently..i deleted that. I was expecting an option in ghost where it will scan the computer and find the drive D:\ so that i can start a fresh taking a new back-up of the drive.
In Norton Ghost it gave me option to delete drive...this option was not available for other drive. I though that time that its to hide the drive from Ghost backup scheme...if i would do a scan (i expected a manual scan would be there) the drive would be available...but that was not the case. I have reinstalled NG using revo/norton removal tool many times but that didn't helped...
If you want screenshot i can send you that.
Though in drive D:\ label appears to be little wacky: "D ?m?" what does ?m? means?
Please help.
