In Norton Ghost when I tried to copy a restore point to an external USB drive, I got error EBAB000A, and it would not copy. There was one reference to it in the forum where the poster said he resolved it in Norton Chat but that took three hours. That was scary, to say the least. So I went on Norton Chat; a very helpful technician, Jaddua, said I could just use regular copy to put the restore point on the external drive. I was just about to do that, but I noticed that COMPRESSION was on by default. I changed the option to "None" and the copy proceeded with no problem at all.
So if you encounter EBAB00A, which did NOT come up when I searched Norton technical issues, try to copy without compression. But why didn't the error message reveal that compression would not work? Anyway, I hope this information will be useful to someone.
