I now need to archive some recovery point sets to make space on my primary backup destination.
I understand the process of copying the recovery point sets, but what the Norton Ghost User's Guide doesn't spell out is what is included in the destination file. For example, if I have a recovery point set with 7 incremental recovery points and I select the last recovery point in the set for the copy, does that mean that the base recovery point and all 7 of the incremental recovery points are merged together into the resulting file?
From the previous example, does selecting the 4th incremental recovery point mean that the first 4 recovery points are merged together with the base recovery point into the destination file?
In other words, is the resulting destination file an independent recovery point?
By inference, all of the above is true but it would be nice to have it spelled out.
