[norton Ghost ] ghosting from an external drive to another external drive.

Hello all.

You surely could help me find out. ( please help me ;)

I have a win7 HDD from a crashed computer ( motherboard is faulty, hdd is mint ) mounted on an esata external enclosure.

This HDD have 3 partitions ( proprietary laptop filesystem + windows partition + data partition )

I would like to create a byte-exact backup of those partitions on another usb external drive.

I would then ask you if it's possible to restore that backup to a new, identical laptop.

In extenso i would like to backup a laptop hdd, send that laptop for warantee repair, then restore the whole system identical.

Could you hell help me finding out how/if that's possible with NGhost 15?

so far i've made : advanced tab > define new backup > selected the 3 partitions from the external esata drive > unselected " relatives drives " as my C: doesn't have nothing to do with that backup > destination : the other usb drive.

Will that create restorable partitions on the returning/fixed laptop?

Thanks for your kind help.
