I have Ghost 10.0 it works fine overall.
I did a backup of my C partition w/the OS a while back directly to a small external drive. I moved that entire backup to a larger drive.
I just did another backup using the same defined specified backup I created last time to the same small drive.
Questions:
How do I determine if the back up definition/parameters I created a while back was made to do incremental backups ??
2. The second back up I did, has 3 files, just like the first. Except the image file on the second was named C_Drive002, and the first image file was called C_Drive001.
Both backups created a Symantec Recovery Disk file, and a Recovery Point Storage Settings file.
3. Should I really have just one folder with several DriveXXX files, and only one Recovery Point Storage Settings, and one Symantec Recovery Disk file if this had been done stored properly on a larger drive?
I guess what I didn't know was this. If I had originally defined the first backup to go onto my larger external drive, would NortonGhost have replaced the Drive001 file with the Drive002 file if in fact I defined this backup as incremental? Or does the user end up with a series of incremental backups, that is individual Drive files?
The only thing I could find about my recent back up was this from the log file of NG
