I am not very tech savvy. A few months ago, I did a full system back of all my files and folders and placed the recovery point to an external drive. This is quite fortunate as something happened to my HD which at one point could not boot up. As a result, I was forced to restore my HD back to factory settings. I lost all my programs inc. Norton Ghost and had to re-install them. Now it seems that my new installation of Ghost does not recognize a previous backup. I am unable to recover my data files from my external drive using Manage or Recover My Backups or recover My Files and Folders. A friend told me that it may have to do with losing a catalog of sorts. Is there any way to recoved my files and folders from my external HD to my main drive into My Documents, My Music, etc.? I hope this makes sense. Please help.
