NORTON GHOST: restoring my OS image... virtual partition was complete gone

HI Third time Norton ghost imager, first time complainer. I, using Norton ghost 2003 on windows xp por, while restoring my OS image to its virtual partition, at the end of the restoration cycle in DOS selected quit rather than reset computer, at which point it quit rebooted and began restoring the image for a second time, took only 12 minutes and began so quickly I didn’t want to interfere so I let it proceed for a second time. When it finished I reset. And returned to find my OS in perfect shape as always, but unlike always this time my virtual partition was complete gone. In its place was 108 gigs a of free space where once there had been 8 gigs free and more importantly the 100 gigs on the neighboring partition drive D simply disappeared. PCI file recover finds this among other random smaller files a pagefile.sys that is size 805,306,368 which I think is roughly 80gigs, bit larger than your usual pagefile isn’t it? Is this my lost partition? How do I regain access to this info?. What I want is to preferably restore this partition as though none of this happened. I almost immediately disconnected this drive and have since not written anything to it. Whats my next step?
