Norton Ghost ver.15: Anyone had trouble with an XP and Vista 32-bit dual-boot?

I had set up my computer to have XP Home Premium 32-bit and Vista Home Premium 32-bit as a dual boot. XP was good and I got all the updates. I then installed Vista and got all the updates. Vista worked fine. I installed Norton Ghost onto XP at first and it seemed fine. I did one back up of everything. Then XP started to tell me weird error messages from the Security Center that there is no firewall and no malware protection installed. What worked was turning off the Security Center service.

The Vista OS was an Upgrade copy, not a full OS.

I ended up having to uninstall everything and re-install XP. I took it out a while ago. But I am curious if anyone has noticed some problems if they had a similar setup. What I think happened is that when I installed Vista it did something to the boot-up files for XP or something. But maybe I did something in Norton Ghost ver. 15?
