I have a laptop that just stopped operating. I had folders and files backed up with Ghost 14 on an exterior hard drive.
I want to restore some of the backedup folders to another laptop, that is becked up with Norton Ghost also, but I'm having problems. I can't simply restore the folders from the hard drive using "Recover My Files." I had to add the extra hard drive of the defective laptop as a new recovery point first, then, when I attempt to recover anything with "Recover My Files," I'm only able to restore the single files without them being in any folders. This is a mess of files, since they were in many folders.
How does one restore selective folders with the files still in them, without restoring only the files in one pile?
