AOL is well known for having problems! I say that as a sysop on Compuserve which they own and I see messages about problems with AOL Mail frequently.

 

I just checked my AOL Mail account -- there's just a welcome message there since I don't use it -- and it came up as soon as I entered my password.

 

That's with WIndows 7 32 bit and IE 10 -- using NIS 2012/V19 not 2013/V20 however.

 

Have you checked with AOL itself?

aol has received a number of complaints. I will try to attach their response in another comment.

I had the same problem.  I changed my password and then clicked EXIT this site.

I then went via the AOL DESKTOP SOFTWARE, and changed all my security settings for all

my usernames, passwords, security challenge questions etc.
