After installing DivX I had a popup for Norton Security Scan. I've never installed my computer with Norton. Right now I support Avast.
This popup has no way of closing it and no method of using task manager to close it either. The only option is "Continue"
I am unimpressed with this method of attempting to get my support.
I read other forum postings of similar experiences. Those people seem to agree with me that this method of "advertising" by conning people is petty and weak.
What is worse is that the staff forum members who responded gave a very pathetic response saying that it was DivX's fault. Take the responsibility and if it detriments your organization then break the link and run your organization respectfully.
Symantec has lost my respect.
