After the most recent Norton update, I’ve noticed over the last few days that the Norton Home screen is appearing on my desktop as though Norton has been opened.
I have two other PCs that I manage remotely, and all three are doing the same thing. It happens only once a day, and I’ve mainly noticed it when the PC has been sitting idle for a while.
At first, I thought this might be related to one of Norton’s automatic system runs, but I have those all set to manual. The fact that it happens only once a day and seems to occur after the computer has been sitting unused makes me wonder if something in the recent update is triggering it.
Most people probably wouldn’t notice it unless they leave their PC sitting idle for a while.
Has anyone else noticed this since the most recent Norton update? Is this normal behavior now, and is there a way to prevent the Norton Home screen from opening on its own?

Annoying as heck … Norton 360 Deluxe current version – 26.8.11125 (build 26.8.11125.0) – on my Windows 11 PC (OS build 26200.9168) opens itself every night at ~10:25PM interrupting work, streaming, whatever. Yes, I immediately close the window, but this is so unnecessary and will drive me and others to look elsewhere . . . otherwise, it is a good product, so why annoy users?

Norton released a backend fix for the Automatic UI Opening issue. Please run LiveUpdate and Restart the system to get the fix applied.
