Symptom: Norton icon not shown in system tray (although configured to be displayed) thus neither settings and history are available nor manual scans or live update may be started. Furthermore, NIS or Norton Security may not be started by clicking desktop icon or exe file (process is, however apparently running).
Removal and reinstall has no positive effect.
