Maybe it's just me, but from my experience so far with Norton ID Safe app for iOS, it's a piece of junk.
I recently had an experience that has forced me to create very complicated passwords for the sites I visit. I have a good memory, but even I can't remember them all. I already subscribe to Norton Internet Security, so I thought might as well load up ID Safe, since I can also use the app on my iPhone.
What a boondoggle this has turned out to be. The instructions for how to get all the dominoes to line up so they fall correctly are sketchy at best, but I did finally figure out that in order to get the logins supposedly saved in the "cloud" from my PC to show up on my iPhone app, I had to delete the app and reinstall it. Lo and behold, there were my logins. Of course, then I discovered that they only work with websites I log in to from the browser. The saved logins do not apparently carry over to the iPhone apps...which is the whole purpose of the iPhone, I believe. Didn't they coin the phrase, "There's an app for that"? I don't want to use the stupid browser, I want to use the apps.
Then it seems that as I add logins to the "cloud" from my PC, they do not "upload" or "update" or whatever to the vault on my iPhone.
Frankly, at this point, I'm going back to the spreadsheet I have used for years to keep track of all my passwords, which I still planned to use. I was hoping to get away from having to type all the crummy characters of these "strong" passwords on that stupid little touchscreen keyboard on the iPhone, but apparently it is not to be.
I have neither the time nor the patience to fool around with this baloney. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, I would certainly love to hear them...even if it turns out I'm an idiot.
