Norton ID safe has stopped responding to password on PC and laptop, still working on iPad & iPhone

I set up Norton Identity Safe on all my devices at the same time: PC, laptop (windows), iPad, iPhone.  Everything was working spendidly; all entries on any device were showing on all other devices.  Now, however, I can't get the program to accept my password on the PC or laptop,  It still works fine on the iDevices.  (Except I sometimes have to tweak the devices to accept the password - can't hit 'return', must click on 'done', for example.)

Nothing else has changed except the occasional updates to Windows (I am running Windows 7 on both).  I know I am entering the correct and same password on each device.
