Norton Identity Protection in Google Chrome does not work with Google Drive

When I access Google Drive from Google Chrome I get an error message "No Connection Detected".  If I deactivate Norton Identity Protection then I can use Google Drive.

This error has only started in the last few days (since about 8/20/2012).

How can I fix this?

I tried this, and the problem remains. I have to turn off the extension to use Google Drive.

I have also updated and have the correct version and I too have the same issue with Google Drive and also issues when clicking a photo on Google+ (it does not open the viewer window).  Only workd with Norton Identity Protection diabled...

I HAVE SAME ISSUE.ANY UPDATE ON SOLUTION EXCEPT DISABLING THE NORTON IDENTITY PROTECTION EXTENSION?

Hi All,

Could you provide the product version(you can find it in NIS/N30 -> Support->About), Chrome version, OS information.

I didn't see any issue in accessing Google drive from Google Chrome

Configuration: NIS 19.8.0.14, XP SP3 EN, Chrome 21.

Please run live update until it shows "Your Norton product now has latest protection updates" and Restart the computer whenever it requires for a reboot, then check the issue again.

Thanks,
Senthil.

I have the same problem  I have latest versions of Chrome and Norton 360

Norton 360 Version 6.3.0.14

Windows 7 Professional, SP1

Acer TravelMate 8481

Chrome 21.0.1180.83 m

This more than sucks. I thought the problem was with Google Chrome. The only way I can use Google+ is to turn off/ end process for Norton Identity Protection in Google Chrome.

Norton version 19.8.0.14

Chrome version 21.0.1180.89

Getting pissy here.

It's easy to blame Norton for everything. I guess Google and it's products are without any kind of fault.

The links provided relate to a different (and much older issue).  What is being discussed here is something that has occurred in the last week or so since Google updated Google Drive (I think).

This issue is also being discussed in Google forums:

I don't care who is to blame (Google or Symantic).  Hopefully some bright spark in one of those companies can come up with a solution so that I can continue to use both excellent products.
