[Update: Norton Identity Safe extension is compatible with Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10 Creators Update]
We are excited to announce that Norton Identity Safe extension for Microsoft Edge browser is now available for install from Windows Store. The new Norton Identity Safe extension is available ONLY for Windows 10 Creators Update or higher.
Note: Norton Identity Safe extension for Microsoft Edge browser available for English ONLY. Other languages support will be added soon
What is new in the Norton Identity Safe extension?
- Norton Identity Safe feature is now available as an independent extension.
- This extension can be installed on any system with a Microsoft Edge browser. It does not require installation of a native Norton product, such as Norton Security.
- This release provides access to your Identity Safe vault; it supports autofill and auto-capture of Login items.
- It also supports searching Logins, viewing your basic Login properties, and toggling the Favorite status of a Login.
- This release has a toolbar-less user experience; the Norton Identity Safe features appear directly in your webpage or from clicking the extension's button in Microsoft Edge.
- In this release, Login items can be edited only from the Vault interface of a Norton product, such as Norton Security.
- This release does not support other Identity Safe Vault item types such as addresses, payments, and notes. We are evaluating how to provide support for these items in the future.
