Norton identity Safe & Firefox 9.0.1

Is Firefox 9.0.1 OK to download or will it disable Identity Safe?  Are there any other problems with the latest Firefox?

Thanks to anyone who reads this.

Hi,

You can very well go ahead and update to Firefox 9.0.1, there are no toolbar compatiblity issues or either Identity safe issues. I am using FF 9.0.1 on my personal machine without any issues. Also, would like to update you that, there should be compatibility issues only when the major versions of Firefox, if we are adding support for FF main version, there would not be any compatibility problems for the dot version. So there should not any worries for you on updating the dot version.

Regards,

Prasanna

Thank you both.  Firefox 9.0.1 now installed and Identity Safe is still up and running.

Hi prasanna_a

I recently upgrade to FF 9.0.1 but the Norton identity safe toolbar is not working.

I use Norton 360 v5.0 now, but last year I used Norton Internet Security 11 and this year I updated form Norton Internet Security 11 directly to Norton 360 v5.0 without first uninstalling the Norton Internet Security 11.

I checked the version of my Norton Toolbar on FF and it is V2011.7.2.3. I don't know if this toolbar is outdated, if so please advice me on what to do.

Thanks.

Problem Solved, I just followed the instructiions given on this page "Compatibility of Norton 360 with Firefox 9" and very thing worked well, toolbar works just fine.
