In a previous email, Norton (embedded in Yahoo email) flagged a file as having a virus when I clicked on it, but took no other action. I'm using Yahoo mail, and the Norton in it seems to be disconnected with the Norton SS I have installed - I could find no mention of the virus infected file in Norton SS (v4 - Comcast)!?!???
Got a new suspicious email today, and the NortonAV embedded in Yahoo mail did NOT flag it. .
Interestingly - I d/l'd the file, then did a scan with SS (right click on file to bring up menu) and it DID find TrojanFakeAV. And I did see it in the history
This makes me nervous as the Yahoo mail verions of Norton didn't see it! AND is disconnected from the Security Suite
Anyone know how to force an update on Yahoo mail version of Norton?
EDIT: I am using Firefox v 4, and so I guess that Comcast has not updated to "compatible" version of NSS - but I am still not sure why Norton AV did NOT flag this virus infected email today
