An interesting review of NIS 2010 has turned up on Remove malware.com.
Whilst Nis 2010 performed well in some respects i cannot believe that it still lets the rogue application Antivirus Pro install on a PC with no response from signature, insight or sonar to prevent installation.
A few months ago i deliberately downloaded the 2009 version of antivirus Pro(onto a pc i was about to reformat) just to test NIS 2009.
Just like the video on Remove malware.com Norton did nothing to prevent this well known rogue and it shows that things have not changed even with a new version of NIS.
I just find it ashame that people who would fall for this rogue app. and are relying on a relatively expensive product like NIS2010 would probably be better off with the cheaper real-time version of Malwarebytes.
Come on symantec its about time you blacklisted this app or create some sort of signature.
