Norton Insight flagging known files

Norton Insight is flagging items that make no sense and this has been going on for quite some time and they never clear. For example, Intuit/TurboTax is not trusted and for the life of me makes no sense. Millions of users and a known developer and its not trusted? Microsoft updates are not clearing? Chrome updates never get captured yet Chrome updates all the time? Iolo/System Mechanic, years later never clears? WinRail (cadware for model train layout design) never clears. The only reason I question all this is because a full system scan done weekly takes 2 hrs give or take and never finds anything - thankfully. Norton Power Eraser is used periodically and is always negative. This machine is a clean as it can get and there is very little stored and I am suspecting that all the untrusted files in Norton Insight is causing the problem with lengthy scans.

fwiw ~ I have Untrusted - Good - Many Users, too....

for example:

All the files in question are in the untrusted category with a “good” rating and showing tens of thousands of users. What is odd is that they are all from known developers…Microsoft (updates) and Intuit TurboTax. The Intuit files were installed 3 months ago and should have cleared or been Trusted by Norton by now. i get the concept of new files being detected but after 30 days files should clear by themselves into the Trusted category especially if they are from well known sources. I’m just OCD and this drives me nuts. LOL

fwiw ~
I have a few Unproven.
I have a few User Trusted.
I seldom run Full Scan.  Just me.

Curious, how old is your Norton 360 install?
Curious. whether clean Norton 360 install produces similar "untrusted files".  Just me.

Are Norton Insight detections Unproven or Untrusted?

For Unproven - have you tried Trust Now (if you're sure)?

For Untrusted - have you made submissions?  Do you have Submission ID #?
