Hello
I guess they don't update the usage stats very often if I have so many files that are used by 10's of thousands users for years and they are still untrusted... Just doesn't make sense to me I guess.
Thanks.

They become trusted by the Community Watch feature. That sends info to Norton to update the usage stats that then get sent back to users via LiveUpdate.
Hello Peter
Yes, sorry, my eyesight or lack of shows itself again. Yes, it is Untrusted. I did look at the column with the checkmark.. There are 4 in the beginning which belong there.. I have a total of 450 files listed. Other than those first 4 files, the rest are all good with 2 bars in the good column. Most of them also have many users. How do they become trusted other than me trusting them<? I can understand if they are new files or don't have very many users.
Thanks
flo
Hi Flo
My drop down does not have an Unproven option. There is an Untrusted which will show unproven and bad files. Is this what you are referring to? If so, when you look at the list and scroll down, you have to check the column with the check mark as a heading to see where the classifications change.
Hello Bruce
I am looking at the drop down where is shows the unproven files. Mine shows 0.00 % also, but the number of files is way high. They must have enough information if there are 10's of thousands of people using the file over years of time and the files are currently being used..
Thanks.

Hi Flo, not sure what I am missing - perhaps you are looking at a different category:
Also from here:
"Unproven indicates that Symantec does not have enough information about the file to categorize it."
Perhaps telling us exactly where you are looking and see all these files, we'll be able to see if we can duplicate.
Latest update. Possibly same issue with Laptop. Has not been on for a couple of days. Auto ran Insight maintenance on boot hour ago, (catch up from previous boot couple days ago?) but no auto run of Insight itself. Support says servers should be up and running within 24 hrs. Desktop maintenance last run yesterday am GMT, Insight last auto run pm 25/8/2016 but not on 26th or 27th.
