Appreciate some advice. A problem occured today ...
I have used online support for the last few hours and have had 2 support personnel
(the first person escalated to his manager) remote into my pc. In the end, I was told
that it was just a conflict between Microsoft and Symantec. So, I am checking in this
forum if anyone has better advice ..
What was done
a. (By the 1st suport person) Uninstalled, rebooted, removed files, install again. Problem exists.
b. (By the 2nd support person) Uninstalled, rebooted, uninstalled 2nd time (this time it removes additional stuff),
removed files, rebooted, reinstalled. Problem exists.
Problem only comes after I start using the internet (a while after). If I stay off the internet
(do not start IE), I do not get this error.
Summary of problem
1. If I click on One Click Support, I get the following errors; Advanced Protection - Not fixed
2. On the NIS console, it says that my pc is at risk. If I click on Fix now, I get back into
problem 1.
Funny thing is that this is the same even if I turn off advanced protection. Seriously, now I have no
idea if NIS is even working ... after all, my pc is at risk. Not that I know from what ... Help.
