Hello,
I have Norton Internet Security 2009 installed on my laptop. I have all the latest updates. Running the program in default mode.
NIS constantly accesses my hard drive. My drive activity light is always flickering and I can hear the drive's activity. I have installed Anvir Task Manager and it shows that Symantec Service Framework is using 32% to 43% of my CPU.
This hasn't always been the case. When I first installed NIS everything was fine. Then after a week or so I noticed more and more activity on my hard drive. I contacted Norton support and they indicated that a fresh install may resolve the problem. So I did that. And everything settled down again. However, now I'm back to the same problem.
I am running Windows XP Pro on my IBM T60, 2 gig processor, 3 gig ram.
My available space on my hard drive is 15 gig (120 gig drive)
Any ideas?
Thanks
Peter
