I upgraded to Norton Internet Security 2012 a few days ago
and now it keeps blocking all Java scripts I try to get to the Symantec Norton
Support tab and I click on Top Solutions For Your Product and I get document not
found on other web sites I have the same problem as on Symantec.com. I have formatted
the hard drive and installed and reinstalled Java and Norton Internet Security
2012 multiple times to no avail the same problem persist. I disabled all
add-ons including the ones from Microsoft and only left these three add-ons enabled
(Norton Internet Protection-Norton Vulnerability-Norton Toolbar) disabled all others
nothing else was running got same problem. I went to java’s site with current
version Java 1.7.0.0 and did their check thing and said java was installed and working
correctly. I found out by disabling each of the three left enabled one at a
time that the Norton Internet Protection add-on was causing the problem with it
disabled all works great with no problems and all java pages load as intended.
I tried to down grade to as low as Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.25 (32-bit)
and did not work I reinstalled my 2011 version of Norton Internet Security 2011
and used Java 1.7.0.0 most current release and all works great no problems even
with the most current version of Java 1.7.0.0 installed on my computer. So the problems
are either a compatibility problem with Norton Internet Security 2012 to Java
last three or four releases or vice verse java compatibility problems. Any help
or solution would be very much appreciated and thanks in advance.
