I currently have Norton Internet Security 2012 installed and working on my laptop with windows 7 (64-bit).
However, I have encountered a conflict the NIS 2012 GUI when trying to trying to select "Account" or "Support" in the main GUI screen in that when I select either of these it invokes Notepad++ (v5.9.3) which I have installed.? If I un-install Notepad++ the relevant webpage for either NIS 2012 "Account" or "Support" works as expected?
Any ideas or has anyone encountered this issue? What could could be causing this issue as I use Notepad++ a lot?
What version of NIS 2012 do you have? You can find this from Support > About.
Very interesting problem. If no one else comes along who is using Notepad++ and has some input I will try to test this after I get home from work tonight.
I use Notepad++ at work sometimes but I've never had occasion to need it on my home computers.
I'll let you know if I am able to reproduce this behavior after doing some testing tonight and will update this thread.
I had a chance to check this out this now. I installed Notepad++ on my laptop and I am not seeing the problem you describe.
So a few other questions if I may.
1. Do you have SP 1 installed on your Windows 7 computer where you have this problem?
2. The latest version of Notepad++ is 5.9.4. Can you try installing this version and see if the problem persists?
3. How long have you had NIS 2012 installed and have you had this problem from the beginning? Are you seeing any other problems with NIS besides this? What did you have prior to NIS 2012?
4. Do you have any other security software installed besides NIS?

Yes I have windows 7 SP1 installed and keep all the latest windows 7 installed on my laptop.

I have downloaded and installed Notepad++ v5.9.4 and the issue still occurcs (i.e. a Notepad++ opens when selecting "Account" or selecting "Support" then selecting "Help" from the NIS 2012 GUI)?

I have had NIS 2012 (version 19.1.1.3) since it was released (was it September?). Yes I have had this problem since the updating to NIS 2012. I have not had no other problems with NIS 2012, so far. I did not have this problem when I was using NIS 2011. So could it possibly be a bug?
4. Do you have any other security software installed besides NIS?
I do have System Mechanic (v 10.5.4) installed on my laptop and running, but I am only using this applications for it's system utility functions and NOT the any of the security functions as I am using NIS 2012 for its Firewall and Anti Virus.

I only had the standard plugins that were installed after Notepad++ installation, I removed these until only the Notepadd++ PlugIn Manager was installed. However, I am still getting the issue??
