Hello, i hope someone can help. I recently bought this product and installed it on my laptop (running Vista SP2 32bit). The quick scans run ok, althought always pick up the same 'issue' which it fixes (after a reboot). However the next time it runs, the same issue gets picked up again.
But, the full scan always seems to get to a point and it never moves. Ive had this running for over 12 hours now. Since installing Norton i've not been able to complete a full scan.
I've already tried uninstalling it completely, and reinstalling but to no avail.
I've checked the Norton Update Center and i have the most up to date version..
Please help.
Here is a screenshot i get once completing the Quick Scan.... i restart the PC as it says, but if i run the scan again, it finds the same issue. Its like its stuck in a loop.
I just installed Norton after my sbscription to McAfee run out. I've removed this from my PC. The Norton product seemed to be a bit cheaper for a similar service...
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Norton a few times now (using the tool from the website) but this doesnt seem to fix anything. :-(

Can you try doing a scan in safe mode. It sounds like the issue that is found cannot be removed while Windows is in normal mode.
Thanks for the help. For others ever having the same problem, i've removed Norton and reinstalled, made sure it was up to date. Then, i restarted in Safe Mode and carried out a full scan. This highlighted a couple of problems not picked up when scanning normally. However, it wasnt able to delete some of the files it found had issues. I had to go into the command prompt myself and delete these manually.
I restarted again in normal mode, and have been able to carry out the full scan without my initial issues.

Glad to see you got things back.
Many nasties cannot be removed when Windows is running because the files are open, and cannot be deleted. Running in safe mode does not load all the files and thus allows better detection and deletion of problem files.
