I have just upgrade 3 computers to NIS 2013. Two Win 7 Professional (english) (32bit and 64bit respectively), worked ok, performed Liveupdate and full system scan.
The third computer, Win 7 Home 64 bit (danish) can't perform the full scan. It gets stuck every time, somewhere in C:\ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096...}\NIS_20.3.1.22\ -- I can't always see the directory name that folllows, but one of the times it was Framework. By stuck, I mean stuck for several hours.
When it stucks, it REALLY stucks, making the computer unusable. I can browse around until I try to start anything, then I loose access to anything. NIS cannot be stopped or closed, Ctrl-Alt-Del is inactive. Only way to recover is hard power down.
Disk has been checked, NIS has been uninstalled and reinstalled, I've tried to use the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool, it still gets stuck in the same place (but different subdirs).
What's going on?
