Norton Internet Security and Internet Explorer 9 - card/login issues

Installed internet exp 9 and now my NIS card/login funcition no longer auto fills in pwds and userids. Any ideas? Closed off previous incident  to ask this in compatibility mode. Now running in compatibility mode

No wusing compatibility mode.

Hello emjaybaxter

Please see Tim's announcement about the new version which is being given out in a phazed in manner starting today. Perhaps this problem will be fixed by that update also. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately the update hasn't fixed my problem. Perhaps I am missing a settiing either in NIS or Internet Explorer. But I have checked all the obvious ones.

Hi emjaybaxter,

Can you provide the website URL, OS, and any additional information which might help us reproduce this in-house? This will allow us to better understand the issue that you are seeing. Thanks.

Here is a link to a sign-in page for a website. Normally when I go to this page my userid and password are automatically filled in by NIS LOGIN feature. Since Int Exp 9 it hasn't been auto filling in.

I have resolved the problem. Symantec NCO BHO was disabled. When I enabled it everythinbg worked OK again.

Hello synaguib

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

If you are using IE 9, please turn on the compatibliity mode and repost your post. Thanks.

Thanks, I just did.

here is my original post:

I have the same problem  as described above (logins/cards do not fill in automatically after installing I E 9) and I have not been able to find the answer.  someone said previously that it was fixed when they turned on the NOC BOH, i do not know what that is.  I looked at NIS settings and everything is turned on.  Any help os appreciated.

Hello synaguib

NOC BOH is an add-on. You can check to see if that add-on is enabled in IE properties. There should be a place that shows what add-ons are installed and enabled. Please make sure that it is enabled in IE properties. I'm using IE 8, but I would think that there should be the equivalent of that in IE 9 also. Thanks.
