Norton Internet Security and Parallels Desktop - #2

I have the same problem that aussiegeek0 posted in February.  I am using Parallels Desktop 8 to run Windows 7, and whenever I start up Parallels I get two requests to Allow or Block use of the internet.

 

As best I can tell, the problem was not resolved.  The one suggestion provided does not work for me.

I am running:

  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

  NIS 5 for Mac Version 5.4 (77)

  Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac Build 8.0.18608 (Revision 898384; July 17, 2013)

  Windows 7

 

on a MacBook Pro 17-inch, Mid 2010 with 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5

 

I have set up my firewall Application Blocking to allow Parallels, and Connection Blocking to allow both incoming and outgoing connections for Parallels.

 

The Allow/Block request is made twice: once during the Parallels startup process, and again when I log into my Windows account.

 

Can anyone help?

I have this same exact same problem, always get asked twice when I start up Parallels and Windows.  I did find a solution so,e time ago but cannot locate it again.  Not sure if the solution was in these forums or MacRumours.

Hope somebody can help because this really does annopy me.

C'mon Symantec, get your guys onto this as you must see it is a problem for many.
