I cannot find an answer to the question is it ok to defragment a SATA hard drive? The reason I am asking this question in this forum is Norton Internet Security wants to defragment my system. The first time it gave me a notice that my system needed a tune up, I said ok but I thought it was just going to do a disk clean-up not a disk defragment. So just want to know if a SATA hard drive should be defragmented and if so how often? Thanks
