Norton Internet Security - email smtp proxy - not good enough handling of errors

I found that whenever the SMTP server responds to the Symantec Norton Internet Security with any error, the handling by NIS is not sufficient - e.g. the NIS proxy states that the message was not sent, but doesn't offer any re-sending or yesterday, I just got an error Access denied with no idea to what email it refers to.

 

Can you please improve on this?
