I got rid of that error message teh following manner: 1- click NOrton INternet Security icon. 2- Click Advanced button. 3- place cursor on SONAR Protection and click on ignore in window that appeared. YTOu are still protected against viruses and spyware.

Hi bensam,
You have turned off the SONAR Protectioon and then elected to Ignore the warning that your protection is turned off. This link
will tell you about SONAR Protection - it is up to you to decide if you can function with ouit it.

I have the same problem. The instructions are to use the Norton Remove Tool, then reinstall using the CD or the downloaded file. I bought IS online but have been unable to locate the downloaded file. I've used two of the the three available subscription downloads but hate to waste the last one on a fix. Any suggestions?
