Hi Malone,
Just a toyght, try disabling Norton Safe Search (see screenshot attached), close the browser and reopen it again, If that doesn't help, you can still re-enable the NSS.

I'm using WIndows 7 32 bit and IE11 fully updated (like last Tuesday) and I rarely see a blank page come up in IE11 these days although I did at one time. I don't think it is a NIS thing triggering it or more would be seeing it.
Have you tried ungrouping tabs? I have that unchecked but the Next to under it checked .....
One more "what if you" -- what if you click on the Refresh Icon on the tool bar next to the Address box or press F5 refresh?
I used to find this did load the webpage OK in most cases, which makes me think it's an internet situation.
I agree with Hugh, I don't think it is NIS causing this. I have Windows 7 x64, IE11 and aren't seeing the problem. I don't have tabs grouped, so that could be a key.
Same opinion by me too… So i thought of just adding my voice and not a new thread.
But will update after trying what suggested.
I have now tried every single suggestion, in turn & I stiil get just a totally blank page.
Something is broken somewhere and it only broke after Norton Interner Security update, so I am not accepting that it is not NIS fault.
I now want to try re-installing IE 11 but Microsoft won't let me downloaded again because I've already got it.
How do you un-install IE 11?
Regards all for your help
John.
Hello Malone
Please follow the instructions from Microsoft
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/install-ie#ie=ie-11-win-7
After the install instructions there is a click to uninstall. Click on that and it will give you instructions on how to uninstall. I would print out that page since once you uninstall IE11, I assume you will want to install it again.
Hi, Malone. Before you re-install IE 11, you will have reverted to IE 10. Try running that, and let us know if the problem still occurs.
I found IE 11 to be a little buggy, and have reverted to IE 10, for the time being. Works perfectly.
It may just be a local issues on your computer as users like Guru Krusty13 are using IE 11, and not experiencing the same problem.
@floplot
Thanks: The download from your page link (which wouldn't open even as new window) when 'Download E11' was run did not give any option to uninstall, it just installed E11.
Before running new download I did uninstall as per instructions on Microsoft site (revert to previous version).
@F4E
Thanks: Before doing above I uninstalled as shown on the page on floplot's link - this doesn't uninstall it just reverts to previous version.
So as you suggested I was again running EI10 - I had exactly the same problem, only blank pages opening in 'New Tab'.
Note: Then as an aside thought I tried opening from My Favourites, by right clicking and selecting 'Open in a new tab' - these opened perfectly and I could have as many new tabs as I wanted for any of My Favourites.
So although no links shown on any web page will open as a New Tab any of My Favourites will
Totally baffled.
Regards
John.
<< So although no links shown on any web page will open as a New Tab any of My Favourites will >>
And yet CTRL + Click opened Floplot's link perfectly as a new Tab alongside my others.
Did you try Disabling Group but checking the box beneath it
That was a difference between out two settings that you mentioned before.
Huwyngr
Thanks.
Yes I have the tabs options set exactly as you've shown.
Regards
John.
Have you considered a reset of IE?
When all else fails ..... follow Krusty and RESET IE .....
Have tried every single suggestion without any success.
Have now given up on IE 11 and am using Firefox.
