I have Norton Internet Security multiple license at home. I have one license and my brother has one license. We will also need a license for my mum when she gets a laptop.
I am looking to install windows 7 on to my XP laptop but i was wondering what will happen when i install norton again will it take the last license or is there a way i can still keep the 1 free license so my mum can have it.
if so, is it just a matter of uninstalling norton and reinstalling it using the same license key?
Thanks

HI martyd1901
Uninstall Norton from XP before you upgrade to Win7 then reinstall on your Win 7 system with the current activation key and all should be OK. If there is an issue then customer support will correct it very quickly.
What version of Norton Internet Security are you running. You will be best with NIS2010 on your Win 7 installation and that can be downloaded from here if you are not currently on NIS2010.
www.norton.com/nis10.
If you use Identity Safe then back it up on your XP system and copy the .npm file created to a USB drive or external media before doing your upgrade so that you can import it again on your new system.
Once you have installed NIS then run liveupdate until you get a message that there are no more updates. Some updates may require that you reboot your system.
