Norton Internet Security not running full scan/optimization automatically

I have NIS 22.5.5.15. I have the red checkmark on my toolbar icon all the time because my computer has not been optimized. It appears this should be happening when I have a full scan. I was looking through my history and I quick scans run regularly but I see no full scans being run. This is happening on my desktop AND on my laptop.  How often should these be run and where do I turn them on? Under Settings, task scheduling is set to automatic. Any ideas out there?
